Governor’s daughter, or not, the last thing he wanted on his pirate ship was a hostage that had to be ransomed before she was worth anything. He had said as much, but someone had disobeyed him. Now the only way to keep his crew from fighting over her is to claim her as his own private booty. Too bad he doesn’t actually want her.

He can safely get rid of her at the nearest pirate haven–but that is still several days away. Plenty of time for her to realize that she is a far greater danger to him, than he is to her.

This traditional tale of pirates and romance takes place nearly 200 years before Across a Jade Sea.
