Across a Jade Sea

Batiya Latikov is a diesel mechanic working as a ship's engineer on a ocean liner. When she tries to help a shipwrecked stranger, she also becomes a target of the assassins dispatched by his political enemies. Clearly a noble warrior from some very distant land, the mysterious stranger isn't willing to reveal much about himself, but he is willing to risk his own life to protect hers. Together they journey from one side of a vast ocean to the other, employing every trick they can think of to escape the danger that constantly hounds them.

Rich in the cultural details of an imaginary world, this genre-crossing romantic adventure is aimed at an audience that is young-at-heart, rather than a specific age group. Although published as a trilogy, the series is actually a single story, divided into three due to length--the individual volumes are not intended to stand alone.
